Basketball Recap: Lake Belton Comes Up Short

Lake Belton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell to the Rudder Rangers 52-46.

Kayden Holmes was nothing short of spectacular for Rudder: he posted 13 points and eight boards. Randon Cooks was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Lake Belton's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Rudder, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Sulphur Springs the next time they take the court. Lake Belton will head out to face Sulphur Springs at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Rudder will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
