Baseball Recap: Forks Sets Scoring Season-High Against North Beach

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Forks). They put the hurt on the North Beach Hyaks with a sharp 22-3 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Hyaks: they've now won six in a row.

Forks' victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for North Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forks will challenge Hoquiam at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for North Beach, they are taking a road trip to face off against Chief Leschi at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.5 runs per game on average), something the Hyaks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
