Basketball Recap: West Hall Comes Up Short

West Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 73-59 to the Oconee County Warriors. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in December of 2020.

Mason Hall had an outrageously good game for Oconee County as he went 10 for 13 on his way to 22 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jr Dickens, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points.

West Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Oconee County, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-10 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Hall will take on Monroe Area at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oconee County, they will challenge Cherokee Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cherokee Bluff will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Oconee County surely won't give up without a fight.
