Volleyball Recap: Oswego East Wolves vs. Plainfield South Cougars
Oswego East was the 2-1 winner over Plainfield South when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. While the Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 25-19 in the first set.
Oswego East started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-22, 25-18.
Tyler Vlcek paced Oswego East's offense, picking up 19 kills. Vlcek got some help from Max Coleman and his 28 assists. Coleman was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.
George Jimenez was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 20 digs. That's the most digs he has posted over his last eight matches.
