Softball Recap: Sylmar Spartans vs. Northridge Academy Pumas

With a playoff game on the line, Sylmar rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Northridge Academy Pumas by a score of 9-4. Winning may never get old, but Sylmar sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Victoria Jimenez made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched 6.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. Jimenez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Jimenez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

In other batting news, Katherine Godoy was incredible, going 4-for-4 with a home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Maya Salceda was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.
