Baseball Recap: Stone Takes a Loss

Stone suffered their biggest defeat since March 22nd on Saturday. They lost 10-2 to the Vancleave Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-1 defeat on Friday.

Stone saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Obenhaus, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Stone's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-15. As for Vancleave, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stone will take on rival Gautier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Vancleave is set to challenge their familiar foe Laurel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
