Volleyball Recap: Baker Finds Home Court Redemption Against Jay

There's no place like home for Baker, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Jay Royals on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Gators: when they faced off against the Royals on September 9th, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Baker had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-21.

Annalese Saunders paced Baker's offense, picking up 17 kills. Saunders got some help from Katerina Price and her 25 assists. Peyton Hardy controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Baker's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Jay, their loss ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 15-2.

Baker wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Choctawhatchee on the 30th. As for Jay, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Pensacola on the 29th.
