Heard County won the last time they faced South Atlanta and things went their way on Friday too. The Braves breezed past the Hornets to the tune of 55-6. The Braves pushed the score to 55-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hornets cut but never quite recovered from.

Ethan Tisdale was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 129 yards and two TDs on only 14 carries, and also threw for 113 yards and three touchdowns. Brody Buc Cofield was another key player, picking up 83 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Heard County, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Zaiden Moreland, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Heard County's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up 0.5 apiece.

Heard County pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 35.5 points thus far. As for South Atlanta, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heard County will host Murphy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Atlanta, they will take on Washington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
