Baseball Recap: Northwood Academy's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Monday just wasn't the day for Northwood Academy's offense. They fell 3-0 to the First Baptist School Hurricanes on Monday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Chargers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Northwood Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Oswald, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles. Those two doubles gave Oswald a new career-high.

Northwood Academy moved to 5-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for First Baptist School, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

While Northwood Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
