Softball Recap: Bell Blue Raiders vs. Timber Creek Falcons
Bell extended their losing streak to 11 on Friday, dropping them down to 3-15-1. They came up short against the Timber Creek Falcons, falling 14-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-5 back in February.
Alina Vogt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Kenslee Turner also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
As for Timber Creek, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games.
On Timber Creek's side, Ava Thomas was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI Thomas has posted since back in February. Brooklyn Wardell was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
