Simla came tearing into Tuesday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 59-48 win over the Elbert Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cubs also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Simla's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tatum Kocerha, who posted 23 points and eight rebounds. Kocerha is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Caston Cox, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Tesman, who went 7-for-15 on his way to 16 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Cornell, who scored 12 points.

Simla pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Elbert, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.

Simla wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 81-44 victory against Burlington on the 21st. As for Elbert, they have also already played their next matchup, a 64-38 win against Rocky Mountain Lutheran on the 20th.
