Volleyball Recap: Carrollton's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Carrollton lost against Chillicothe back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. The loss put an end to the Trojans' undefeated start to the season.

Carrollton was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 15 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15.

Morgan Brown paced Carrollton's offense, picking up four kills. Brown got some help from Kinsey Fisher and her ten assists. Maddie Stovall controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Carman Woodworth was the offensive standout of the match as she had 21 assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 32 times she's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Carrollton fell to 5-1. As for Chillicothe, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Carrollton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against South Harrison on the 13th. As for Chillicothe, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against St. Paul Lutheran on the 13th.
