Soccer Game Preview: Sacred Heart vs. Ocean Springs

After a short break, it's finally time for some more action. The Sacred Heart Crusaders will take on the Ocean Springs Greyhounds at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Sacred Heart fell victim to Gulfport and their airtight defense two weeks ago. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Admirals an easy 3-0 victory. The Crusaders have struggled against the Admirals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Ocean Springs faced Brandon in a battle between two of the state's top teams two weeks ago. Ocean Springs lost 6-0 to Brandon. The Greyhounds' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Ocean Springs' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Sacred Heart, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Sacred Heart suffered a grim 7-2 defeat to Ocean Springs when the teams last played back in November of 2017. Can Sacred Heart avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
