Softball Recap: Exeter Takes a Loss

Exeter lost to Portsmouth back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Blue Hawks lost 15-6 to the Clippers. The Blue Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maddy Mann 2026 and MacKenzie Clark 2027 stepped up to the plate in a big way. Mann 2026 went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs, while Clark 2027 went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those stolen bases marked the first that Clark 2027 has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Papakonstantis 2029, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Exeter's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Portsmouth, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Exeter is set to face off against their familiar foe Alvirne at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Portsmouth will square off against rival Dover at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
