Softball Recap: Tolleson Extends Winning Streak to Six

Tolleson put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners. Considering the Wolverines have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Dani Chairez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jada Rubalcava, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Tolleson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Tolleson's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Southeast Career Tech, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Tolleson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-5 victory against Doral Academy Red Rock on the 1st. As for Southeast Career Tech, they will be playing at home against Green Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
