Baseball Game Preview: Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans vs. Galva Wildcats

The Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans will take on the Galva Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 24 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Bushnell-Prairie City and three for Galva.

Bushnell-Prairie City is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Friday, they were much more limited against West Prairie on Monday. They lost 14-2 to the Cyclones.

Bushnell-Prairie City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Anderson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Another was Connor Palm, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Galva started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Princeville. They came up short against the Princes on Saturday, falling 11-1.

Bushnell-Prairie City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Galva, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Everything went Bushnell-Prairie City's way against Galva in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Bushnell-Prairie City made off with a 12-2 victory. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
