Football Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

Hillcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 56-7 defeat at the hands of the West Plains Zizzers. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Zizzers are ranked 71st).

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for West Plains, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hillcrest is set to face off against their familiar foe Marshfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, West Plains will challenge rival Branson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
