Baseball Recap: Marianna Gets the Win

Marianna won the last time they faced Blountstown and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Marianna Bulldogs walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Blountstown Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Marianna saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Torin Clark-Hussey, who scored a run while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance also gave Clark-Hussey a new career-high in RBI (three). Another was Jackson Roberts, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.

Marianna's record now sits at 6-7. As for Blountstown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. As for Blountstown, they will take on Bozeman at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bozeman has nine straight wins, Blountstown has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
