Rains is 10-0 against Commerce since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Rains Wildcats duke it out with the Commerce Tigers at 12:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Rains sitting on five straight victories and Commerce on four.

On Tuesday, Rains earned a 48-37 win over Sulphur Springs.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Commerce against Community on Tuesday as the team secured a 53-25 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Commerce has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Rains, their win bumped their record up to 21-3.

Rains strolled past Commerce when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 54-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rains since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
