Softball Recap: West Mesa Comes Up Short

West Mesa lost to Albuquerque two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs lost 20-5 to the Bulldogs. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mya Baca made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Skye Aguilar (F) was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

West Mesa now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Albuquerque, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

West Mesa didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against Los Lunas on the 3rd. As for Albuquerque, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 17-2 victory against Rio Grande on the 2nd.
