The Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology Griffins had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Smidt Tech by a score of 46-39 on Tuesday. The win was just what Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology needed coming off of a 50-30 loss in their prior contest.

Smidt Tech's loss came despite strong showings from Aaron Merlos and Nathan Lopez. Merlos scored 16 points, while Lopez scored 14 points. Merlos scored a full 41% of Smidt Tech's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Smidt Tech, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-5.
