Basketball Game Preview: Louisville Leopards vs. Northwest Indians

The Louisville Leopards will head out to square off against the Northwest Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Louisville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups.

Last Saturday, Louisville strolled past St. Vincent-St. Mary with points to spare, taking the game 61-46.

Meanwhile, Northwest had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They blew past the Falcons 91-65. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Louisville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Northwest, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Louisville against Northwest in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 102-70 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Louisville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
