Soccer Game Preview: Taylorsville vs. Hunter

Taylorsville hasn't had much luck against Hunter recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Warriors will host the Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Taylorsville and Cyprus, and Cyprus kept the tradition alive. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Pirates who were credited with the victory last Thursday. Cyprus got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Taylorsville's three.

Carlos Carrasco and Elias Mendoza scored both of the Warriors' goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Hunter is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game last Thursday. They fell 2-0 to Juan Diego Catholic.

Hunter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Taylorsville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
