Baseball Recap: River Valley Vikings vs. Shelby Whippets
River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 10-6 to the Shelby Whippets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to River Valley of the 5-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
Hayden Kanagy was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double. Another player making a difference was John Bates, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
