Softball Recap: Falcon Wins Going Away Against Canon City

Falcon barely beat Canon City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons blew past the Tigers 12-5 on Saturday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Ariana Campbell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Campbell was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, Sadie Prejean was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Luisa Dominguez was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Falcon's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Canon City, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Falcon has already played their next contest, a 15-5 win against George Washington on the 6th. As for Canon City, they will take on Widefield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
