Delta had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Union Cougars on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Rabbits as they're now sitting on five straight.
Daijah Willoughby paced Delta's offense, picking up 13 kills. Willoughby got some help from Kambri Mecham and her 29 assists. Mecham also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hadley Bliss, each putting up four.
Despite the loss, Union still got an impressive performance from Aliah Martin, who had ten digs and five assists. Martin has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Raegan Miller, who had eight digs.
Delta's victory bumped their record up to 23-7. As for Union, they moved to 17-13 with that defeat, which also ended their five-match winning streak.
Delta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against North Sanpete on the 28th. As for Union, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Grantsville on the 28th.
