Softball Recap: Plymouth Big Red vs. Seneca East Tigers
Plymouth extended their losing streak to ten on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 5-16 in the process. They came up short against the Seneca East Tigers, falling 12-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Big Red of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.
Plymouth saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Autumn Roberts, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
As for Seneca East, their win bumped their record up to 6-9. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.
On Seneca East's side, Madi Smith was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Smith a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ella Martin, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plymouth will square off against Western Reserve at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Seneca East, they will challenge Mohawk at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
