Softball Recap: Stevenson Patriots vs. Palatine Pirates

With a playoff win on the line, Stevenson rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Palatine Pirates. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Ava Potempa, who gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Palatine off the board. Potempa has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

That's the most RBI Jepson has posted since back in April. Sophia Becker was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
