Softball Game Preview: North Lincoln Knights vs. West Caldwell Warriors

The North Lincoln Knights will face off against the West Caldwell Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (North Lincoln 3, West Caldwell 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

West Caldwell will be up against a hot North Lincoln squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Knights' pitchers stepped up to hand West Iredell a 12-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Caldwell, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Maiden 3-1.

West Caldwell pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for North Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
