Volleyball Recap: Millikan Takes a Loss

After flying high against Compton two weeks ago, Millikan came back down to earth. The Rams fell just short of the Woodrow Wilson Bruins by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

The 3-2 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-22, 25-22, 27-29, 15-12.

Millikan's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Woodrow Wilson, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millikan will take on Bellflower at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Woodrow Wilson, they will head out to face off against Jordan at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
