Football Recap: Rhea County Falls to Stone Memorial in First Game of Season

Rhea County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Stone Memorial Panthers and fell 55-0.

Stone Memorial's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mia Jones, who picked up 68 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Hinch, who gained 118 total yards and two touchdowns.

Coming up, Rhea County will face off against Stone Memorial at 7:45 p.m. on March 14th. As for Stone Memorial, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-0 victory against Bledsoe County on the 7th.
