Soccer Game Preview: Cheboygan vs. Elk Rapids

The Cheboygan Chiefs are taking a road trip to take on the Elk Rapids Elks at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Cheboygan fell victim to Alpena and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 5-0. Cheboygan haven't had much luck with Alpena recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Elk Rapids lost 4-1 to Marshall on Friday.

Elk Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Cheboygan, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-3.

Cheboygan might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Elk Rapids in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Chiefs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
