Basketball Recap: Columbia County Christian Skates Past Grace Prep with Ease

Columbia County Christian won against Belleville Mennonite last Friday with 69 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Columbia County Christian breezed by Grace Prep to the tune of 69-34. Columbia County Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

Pierce Cughan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 14 for 23 en route to 33 points and eight steals. The game was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Eli Lenker, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points.

Columbia County Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.9 points. As for Grace Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Columbia County Christian will square off against New Covenant Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbia County Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. As for Grace Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Columbia County Christian at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
