Baseball Game Preview: American Heritage Patriots vs. Merit Preparatory Academy Knights

For the second straight game, American Heritage will face off against Merit Preparatory Academy. The Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

American Heritage is headed out to face Merit Preparatory Academy after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Patriots blew past the Knights 11-1 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won six in a row.

Tanner Brockbank was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Brockbank was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Matthew Brady was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Justin Robertson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Everything went American Heritage's way against Merit Preparatory Academy in their previous matchup on Tuesday, as American Heritage made off with an 11-1 win.
