Basketball Game Preview: Columbus Explorers vs. St. John Bosco Braves

The Columbus Explorers will take on the St. John Bosco Braves in a holiday battle at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday. Columbus knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully St. John Bosco likes a good challenge.

Columbus heads into the contest have just come up short against nationally ranked Principia (Columbus was ranked fourth at the time). The Explorers fell 74-62 to the Panthers on Thursday. The matchup marked the Explorers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, St. John Bosco was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 65-59 to The Villages Charter. The loss was the Braves' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. John Bosco fell to 8-1. As for Columbus, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-2 record.
