Basketball Recap: Lancaster Takes a Loss

Lancaster is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Dynamic Prep. The Lancaster Bruins were dealt a 101-58 defeat at the hands of Dynamic Prep. The Bruins' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Lancaster still got an impressive performance from Jordan Watford, who went 11 for 19 on his way to 26 points in addition to six assists and three steals. That's the most assists Watford has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Rj Brown, who went 5 of 12 en route to 12 points.

Carlsheon Young had an outrageously good game for Dynamic Prep as he almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ryan Hampton, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lancaster fell to 5-1. As for Dynamic Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Lancaster will welcome Northwestern at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Lancaster is facing Northwestern at the right time seeing as Northwestern is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Dynamic Prep, they and Chambers will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Dynamic Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
