Baseball Recap: Moore Takes a Loss

Moore had lost four straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-12 to make it five. They came up short against the North Bullitt Eagles, falling 20-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

As for North Bullitt, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games.

For North Bullitt's part, Hunter Whitaker looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Whitaker has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Caden Dorsey was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted over his last seven contests. Another player making a difference was Rowen Burton, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.

Coming up, Moore will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Shawnee at 5:30 p.m. As for North Bullitt, they will head out to take on DeSales at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
