Basketball Recap: Carolina Friends Takes a Loss

Carolina Friends was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were beaten by The Burlington School Spartans 80-16. The Quakers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The Burlington School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alaiyah Mitchell, who posted 25 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Russell, who put up 17 points in addition to seven assists and four steals.

Carolina Friends' loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for The Burlington School, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.

Carolina Friends has already played their next matchup, a 47-37 defeat against Burlington Christian Academy on the 29th. As for The Burlington School, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-30 loss against Wesleyan Christian Academy on the 30th.
