This season hasn't been kind to The George School Cougars, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 36-20 to KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy.
KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Vontez Scales led the charge by rushing for 177 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 146 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Shamir White, who picked up 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
George School's loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-7. As for KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
George School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy will square off against Vaux Big Picture at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Vaux Big Picture is ranked 540th, while KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy is ranked 549th).
