Softball Recap: Harding Raiders vs. Orange Lions
Harding's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Orange Lions 12-11. The high-scoring effort was just what the Raiders needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Karly Trisler made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and ten unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Trisler was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ky'Ziya Minor, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jayda Hayes, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Harding moved to 4-7 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Orange, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.
