Baseball Recap: George School Comes Up Short

George School extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping their season record down to 1-9 in the process. They lost 8-2 to the Friends Select Falcons. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.

As for Friends Select, their win bumped their record up to 6-4. Considering they have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Friends Select's part, the team relied heavily on Dante DiCicco, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Those RBI were DiCicco's first of the season.

George School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Friends Select, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Executive Education Academy Charter School at 4:00 p.m. on the 12th.
