Recap: Mill Creek Hawks vs. Osborne Cardinals
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Mill Creek Hawks had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on Osborne with a sharp 42-17 win. Mill Creek's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Mill Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shane Throgmartin out in front who threw for 111 yards and three touchdowns. Jaiden Patterson was another key contributor, picking up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Mill Creek has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.87 points. As for Osborne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.
Mill Creek will stay at home for another week and welcome Peachtree Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. Peachtree Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Mill Creek is ranked third). Osborne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
