Baseball Recap: Kearsarge Comes Up Short

Kearsarge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-4 to Derryfield, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Derryfield this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-4 on Tuesday.

Kearsarge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Derryfield, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Kearsarge will head out to challenge Mascoma at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Derryfield, they will venture away from home to square off against Hopkinton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.67 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
