Football Game Preview: Edgewater Eagles vs. Winter Park Wildcats + How To Watch

Edgewater has gone a perfect 4-0 against Winter Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Edgewater is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Lyman, posting an 84-6 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Edgewater found their leader in freshman Bryce Jackson, who rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown. Damian Moore was in the mix too, providing the Eagles with two TDs.

Winter Park not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 27, 2024 (when they won 58-0). They blew past Freedom, posting a 63-8 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Winter Park, adding 16 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Damari Rolle, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from Decorie Johnson.

Winter Park didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tristan Gunn and Maximus Lennon. Gunn got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Winter Park now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Edgewater, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Everything came up roses for Edgewater against Winter Park in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-16 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Wildcats' Grant Conner, who threw for 227 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
