Volleyball Recap: Newark Tech Takes a Loss

Newark Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Side Red Raiders.

Newark Tech's record now sits at 1-5. As for East Side, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Newark Tech and East Side could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. The Terries will challenge Nutley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (93 vs. 30). Meanwhile, East Side (ranked 110th) will meet Glen Ridge (ranked 28th) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
