Chaffey moved up to 602 from 648 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Mt. Baldy. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of besting Bloomington 28-0.
Garey lost to Norte Vista 61-9 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Chaffey's dynamic duo of Jesse Ramirez and James Oxier proved tough for the Bruins to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Ramirez threw for 103 yards and Oxier had 93 yards receiving.
Chris Brown's team's dynamic duo of Ramirez and Oxier proved to be unstoppable against Bloomington, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Ramirez put up the best numbers through the air as the Tigers defeated Marcos Fino's team.
Oxier was the best wideout in the league this week as Chaffey topped the Bruins.
Phillip Gallegos was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 112 yards on 16 carries as Montclair bested Bloomington. Anthony Chapman also contributed to the rushing game with 21 yards on the ground.
Josh Thompson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Colony fell to Tesoro. He completed 16 passes for 184 yards and also ran for 28 yards. Thompson's key target this week was Devan Imbach, who caught 4 passes for 81 yards.
Colony's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Titans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jonathan Trucks has thrown for 638 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Kyle Curry has 29 catches for 249 yards.
An important game coming up in Mt. Baldy this week will be when Don Lugo takes on Chaffey. The Conquistadores are currently in second, while the Tigers are in fourth.
Chaffey made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,517 from 9,251. The improvement was the result of 28-0 victory over the Bruins last week.
