Fruita Monument picks up sixth straight win at home

The Fruita Monument Wildcats put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 53-30 margin over Grand Junction. Fruita Monument has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fruita Monument to victory, but perhaps none more so than Max Orchard, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Reed, who scored 12 points.

When it comes to explaining why Grand Junction lost, one person who can't be blamed is Declan Lake. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points.

Fruita Monument pushed their record up to 15-0 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Grand Junction, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
