Volleyball Recap: Academy for Innovative Education Takes a Loss

Academy for Innovative Education came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the IMater Charter Knights, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Aviators of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Academy for Innovative Education was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-9.

Academy for Innovative Education's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for iMater Charter, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, Academy for Innovative Education will square off against Miami Springs at 4:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for iMater Charter, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against American on the 15th.
