Volleyball Recap: Clinton's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but Clinton unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Brodhead Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss last Tuesday.

Clinton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11.

Macy Hinz paced Clinton's offense, picking up six kills. Hinz got some help from Kiana Stahl and her four assists.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Brodhead, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-9 record this season.

Clinton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Racine Lutheran on the 11th. As for Brodhead, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Turner on the 11th.
