Softball Recap: Hamburg Takes a Loss

Hamburg lost against Monticello back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hamburg Lions took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monticello Billies. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Melody Miller was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Hamburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Monticello, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Hamburg will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Crossett at 5:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for Monticello, they will head out to square off against Hope at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Monticello is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
